INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

At CanGames we want to encourage a new generation to discover the games that we love so much.

Visitors are welcome to enter the convention site and look around and visit our merchants without having to pay an entrance fee. The site is non smoking and we have food and beverages available at reasonable prices. The CanGames Marketplace is an excellent place to find gently used games at an affordable price.

Although direct supervision of children is not provided, staff are available at all times to help our attendees. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at information@cangames.ca. Please note that the Rideau Curling Club bar is licensed.

KID’S GAMES
On Saturday we have a selection of games for children aged 8-12. Children under 12 can only join an adult game if accompanied by an adult player registered in the same game. Joining a game together is a great way to learn the rules of a new game, and perhaps start a hobby that you and your child can share for many year to come. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood are the times I spent playing games with my parents.

Children over the age of 12 can join any adult game, however please keep in mind that most players at the table will be adults, so please read the game description and confirm with the game master that the style and level of play is appropriate for your child. Only you can be the judge that your child has the attention span and level of maturity required to play in a 4-hour adult game.

Welcome to Cangames, the longest-running games convention in Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec, and all of Canada! At Ottawa's Cangames, you can play RPGs (role playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons), board games (such as Carcassone, Risk, and Settlers of Catan), collectable card games (such as Magic the Gathering) and miniatures games (such as Warhammer).
