LOCAL MAP
From the Queensway, exit at Bronson Avenue heading North. Turn right onto Somerset, then North onto Bay Street, then left onto Lisgar. The Curling Club is a large brown nondescript building in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The building is a little difficult to spot the first time, so keep your eyes peeled. 

A small parking lot is located just beside the building - entrance is via Lisgar Avenue or Percy Street . Limited parking is also available on the neighbouring streets.

Pay attention to the one-way streets in the area.

NEARBY PARKING LOTS
The Curling Club’s parking tends to fill up early. Here is a map of alternate parking near the site. City parking lots #12 and #13 are within walking distance of the CanGames convention site. On-street parking is 3 hours maximum between 7 AM and 7 PM

 



OCTRANSPO
Ottawa 's Central Transitway is located a few blocks north of the Rideau Curling Club, on Albert & Slater Streets. Any bus that goes over the MacKenzie King Bridge also travels down the Transitway and will pass Bronson Avenue Get off at Bay Street & Albert (heading West) or at Bronson and Slater (heading East). The major East-West Bus routes is #95.

 

Bus route #85 travels along the Central Transitway and turns onto Bronson Avenue. Bus route #2 travels Somerset Street (it does not follow the Transitway, but follows Bank Street and Rideau Streets from downtown). For more information, visit the OC Transpo website at www.octranspo.com.

 

TRAIN STATION

The Ottawa Train Station has easy access to downtown by the Eastern Transitway (most busses will take you directly downtown—ask the driver for a 3 day pass) or take a taxi (less than a 10 minute ride).

 

GREYHOUND BUS STATION

The Ottawa Bus Station is located at Catherine and Kent. There is no bus route that goes directly past the CanGames convention site. Bus #4 on Kent or #1 or 7 on Bank will take you downtown, or grab a taxi.

 

AIRPORT

The Ottawa International Airport has frequent bus service downtown (Bus #96). The bus stop is just outside the terminal, lower level. Follow the signs. It takes about 45 minutes to ride from the Airport along the Southern Transitway to downtown
